I start by using a thick craft wood and cut out a 11.9" circle, using the laser. The speed had to be adjusted in order for the wood not to burn and be able to cut all the way through.
Used the laser to cut out my coffee cups that I used on the 12, 3, 6, and 9 hours.

My finished clock base. After manually sanding the edges and using the hand sander to smooth the clock faces. The parts of the wood that were a little crisper were the edges that were closest to the edges on the main piece of wood.
Used the vinyl cutter to cut out the numbers for the coffee cups. I messed up the first one and had to redo it.
